Sandbox

February 05, 2014  |   Posted by :   |     |   Comments Off on Sandbox»

Definition: A sandbox is a safe and isolated environment set up to test unverified programs, which may contain a virus or other malignant code.  Alternatively, the sandbox is established to allow potential users to try out software during development or before adoption without all the typical restrictions in a production environment.

What this means: A sandbox allows an organization to test software before installation, thus avoiding all the risks of bringing it behind security and other protections.
